Cinderella Style
My first wedding this year did not disappoint! As always, jumping into the season with such a gorgeous wedding gets me really excited for all that is to come. This one reminded me of what so many little girls dream of - a Cinderella wedding. Skye's dress was dramatic and classic, yet modern and romantic. And that veil - the pearls - to die for! You can never go wrong with a stunning backdrop and a couple in love, but all these elements collided perfectly for Skye and Ethan. I think the photos speak for themself. Aside from how gorgeous the bride is, and the scenic backdrop at Kekuli Bay, you can tell these two are in love. What would a fairytale wedding be without that?
A Modern Twist on Fairytale Vibes
If you're afraid to give in to the pull for that Cinderella look - I can tell you absolutely, do not be. Let yourself sink into the romance, and add your own touch of style. This outdoor backdrop gave Ethan and Skye's wedding an updated feel while still holding onto the dramatic beauty that resonates with her dress. The flowers, mountains, and lake bring a stunning natural component to the photos that I am in love with. The details of the dress, veil, shoes, hair (really the list is endless, but I'll stop) are not lost here, and they shine against the contrast of the more rugged landscape. The bride didn't sing with the birds, but this was as close as you can get to a perfect fairytale without leaning into Disney.
Refined Details
If I had to characterize a Cinderella wedding, I couldn't emphasize enough - details, details, details! Skye and Ethan's wedding had plenty of them, all refined and elegant. They nailed the princess undertone with those perfect details, but it wasn't cheesy or in your face. This wedding is proof you can have your own Cinderella day without the stereotypical updo, capped sleeve ballgown, and glass slippers. Make it your own and keep that fairytale story and essence alive with the small, careful details you choose. All weddings are special and beautiful, but it's those special touches that make it truly fit the couple. Ethan and Skye obviously fit the part, but they were fun and relaxed on top of it. I'd love it if their fairytale wedding could give you some inspiration - so take a browse through the photos here and daydream to your hearts content!
